$1.3 Billion Coming to Los Angeles

$1.3 billion in federal relief money is coming to LA.

This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to right LA’s historic neglect of South LA in the midst of a pandemic hitting us the hardest.
And this opportunity is unfolding quickly as we expect the Mayor to imminently issue a proposal for how he would like to spend the funds.
The Make LA Whole plan needs to guide how the money is spent. Introduced last month, it calls for a radical recovery and for our elected officials to walk the walk of all the talk since last summer.

Tune in Live to press conference via Facebook Wednesday, April 14 at 9:00 a.m., or attend live outside of City Hall.

Within that, Community Coalition is calling for specific investments in Family Care for All, a Racial Justice Equity Fund for Women, Housing Security, Year-Round Youth Employment & Leadership Opportunities, Guaranteed Basic Income, and a Community Driven Safety Fund.
