LADWP and the City of Los Angeles are here to help LA City residents who may be experiencing income loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Low-income residents may be eligible to receive a one-time $500 check in the mail to help pay bills such as gas, cellular phone, wi-fi, internet, and cable television services.

The Shower of Hope

Every Wednesday a mobile shower will be available at West Adams Church of Christ. Reverend Raymond Phillips once again has continued to provide the needed services to the unsheltered population living on the streets and in our community.

“It is no news that we are in a Homelessness Crisis and that Los Angeles has over 59,000 people are affected. Of this population, 44,000 are unsheltered and on the street with no access to basic hygiene, including showers. A critical challenge for these individuals is not having the mobility to access showers as well as other resources.”

FEED FOLKS – WEST ADAMS

Moving Forward working to feed folks in the West Adams community! This is one of the new fresh produce services we are partnering with to make sure our community does not go without food during the COVID-19 pandemic and quarantine. The West Adams Neighborhood Council will be working with Feed Folks – who have created a web page just for us to take orders for vulnerable families, seniors, and first responders, as well as all donations that will help feed those in need!

It all works together to keep our neighbors healthy and keep our farmers growing fresh food!
